Along with the sunshine - there's going to be a little rain sometime.............
I could promise you things like big diamond rings, but you don't find roses growing on stalks of clover...
Beautiful photo. :)
Marilyn & Sylvie - Wow, you guys are good! Thanks for stopping by. - Mike
Come along and share the good times while we can
Beautiful, I just got one of these for my yard...Hawaii has been my favorite vacation spot of all time!
Christine & Jennifer - The tropical Hibiscus blooms year around and comes in a variety of colors. I never tire of their beauty. Thanks for stopping by! - Mike
Mike and Sheryl - That picture of the Hibiscus reminds me of my first trip to Hawaii. When we got off the plane, I remember the warm humid air, and the smell of wonderfull flowers - EVERYWHERE:-)
Beautiful colors!! I can almost smell it from here. Marti
Oh my Gosh! What a beautiful picture!
Myrl - The fragrant flowers are still everywhere you look, but todays weather is oppressively hot, humid and socked in with vog. We really need some trade winds to cool us down. :-)
Marti & Kelli - Thank you for stopping by and leaving your kind comments!
Mike
What a beautiful picture! A friend of mine will be vacationing there in two weeks. I am soo envious!
That's almost a perfectly formed hibiscus flower. They almost grow wild here, but they are very susceptible to white fly in a dry climate like ours.
Debra - I thought you were coming? We have our futon set up and waiting for you! :-)
Jim - That's interesting, we have lost a lot of our plants due to white fly. I didn't know they were a problem on the mainland as well.
Mike
I am loving the color in the top photo! That is a ray of sunshine in itself! Beautiful shot, beautiful flower!
Thank you for your kind comment Cheryl, I appreciate you stopping by to take a look!
Mike
The futon is set up.....well now I have to make plans! (Mike hope you are feeling okay)
One day at a time Debra, thanks for asking!
Mike
Hey, Mike - I was surprised to read in the comments that you have problems with white fly over there. Granted, white fly love the tropics and the heat, but they also don't like water. You can control white fly pretty good by washing the hibiscus off at least once a week, especially the underside of the leaves. Whenever I grow hibiscus, I'll install a sprinkler head directly under the bush so that it sprays upward and keeps the underside of the leaves clean.
Very interesting Russel, thanks for the tip. I'll have Sheryl get on it right away :-)
