According to the Realtors Association of Maui, there are currently 324 escrows pending on Maui at this time. This is excellent news considering that at the end of March there were only about 200 pending.
According to the Realtors Association of Maui, there are currently 683 South Maui condos for sale as compared to 729 at the end of January. There have been 33 sales of South Maui condos in the past 30 days as compared to 19 sales for the month of January.
According to the Realtors Association of Maui, there has been a decrease in the number of listings at most of the South Maui condominium projects since the end of January. For example:
The Palms at Wailea has gone from 17 listings to 9
Wailea Palms has gone from 8 listings to 4
Kihei Surfside has gone from 4 listings to only 1
I often hear this comment..."I'm going to wait because I think prices will continue to fall". My response...No one knows what might happen in the future. What we do know is that there are more condos than ever to choose from right now and interest rates remain at an all time low.
What does this mean to me? This means that NOW is a great time to buy a condo on Maui. Don't let our shrinking inventory and the possibility of rising interest rates cause you to miss your chance of owning your perfect piece of paradise once and for all.
