Very nice, ... I love sailing vessels! I live next to Delware River and love when the boats go by. Sometimes late at night I can hear and see large ships pass as I'm laying on my bed!
Thanks, Jess Graves
P.S. The car show was canceled is now the May 31st.
That's beautiful. I love boats and the ocean.
How is the weather there in October? I haven't decided where to go for my birthday, but Hawaii would be great (although I may need drugs, since I hate flying).
The 97' steel-hulled Carthaginian was originally a German freight carrier before being converted into a tourist attraction in 1973. The rusting vessel needed major repairs and a feasibility study determined the refurbishment would be cost-prohibitive. She is now resting in an upright position in 95 feet of water off Lahaina Maui and will develop into a self-sustaining artificial reef for fish, coral and other marine life.
Jess - It sounds like you live in a beautiful place. I will keep my eyes open for those car photos!
Sylvie - October would be a great time to visit. Temps will be in the mid 80's (I can predict that because they are almost always in the mid 80's) and the visitor count will be down. Any later in the year and you will be in our very busy peak season. :-)

Hi Mike, I was just wondering....I was only docked for a very short time - how on earth did you get this shot of my boat? LOL
Debi
Debi - I just took it while I was passing by...that's my boat in the background :-)
Mike
It is, huh? Braggart! LOL If I get stuck on the coral, will you give me a tow? Have a great evening!
Debi
You too Debi :-)
Mike
Mike and Sheryl, If boats could talk I'm sure that boat would have tails to tell.
That is an atomosphere that I could love... as I have a feeling that everyone does. I'm envious. Love the photos on your blog posts.
Mike and Sheryl,
Great shot. Did you plan it witht the liner in the background? Great contrast either way. :)
Steve
Marchel and Judi - Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your kind comments.
Steve - I would like to take credit for capturing that cruise ship at just the right moment, it is a great contrast. Unfortunately I didn't even notice it was there until I started to process the photo on my computer! Good ol' dumb luck :-) Thanks for commenting!
Mike
Wow what a great photograph thank you for sharing it with us here at activerain.com

You are very welcome and have a wonderful Memorial Day!

So how much is the parking ticket for parking a boat in a no parking zone? LOL
Jim - That boat paid the ultimate price. It now rests on the bottom of the ocean! :-)
